Bees Stung the Gunners
2021-22 Premier League opening match week started with a big upset to the Arteta’s Gunners side in West London, on 13th of August 2021.
Match started with an amazing atmosphere from the home crowd since this is their first top-flight appearance in nearly 74 years. It was 1947 when Brentford played in the top-tier game last time and just happened to be home to Arsenal which was ended up with a 1-0 victory for the Gunners in Griffin Park. Since then Bees were playing in divisions three and four. However, Brentford won the 2021 Championship final to get promoted to top-tier football again.
On the other hand, Arsenal currently having the worst
form of their clubs' history. Since Arsene Wenger left the club back in 2018, the club is
failing to stay on top as the classic “top 4”. For the first time
in their history, Arsenal will not play in UCL or UEL this season since they
finished 8th in last season.
The legendary rivalry between Manchester United vs
Leeds United at Old Trafford, Tottenham beating Defending champions, and drama
at West Ham United vs Newcastle United all were shadowed by the victory of the
Brentford F.C.
